How to make a Tie Dye Cake

A friend of mine made a Tie Dye cake for my sons birthday. Well, he was sick with a double ear infection and pink eye so you guessed it.....no party!

We'll he's much better now so we decided to make another cake for him. Let's just hope it turns out. This is our first time making the Tie Dye cake. No matter what... we've had fun making it. The best part of baking a cake is licking the bowl!!! Right kids?

After mixing the cake in a large bowl pour out equal parts into smaller bowls. I made 2 cake mixes and used 6 smaller bowls.

Next we added food coloring to each bowl. Be generous for bold colors. (Color paste is supposed to work better...I just used what I had at home.)

Mix them up!

Nice colors! The pinks are very close but one is supposed to be red. The kids were happy with them though.

Now pour the batter in like this.

Bake, ice, and serve! Mine is baking now. Let's just hope it turns out! LOL!! I think I'm a better stamper than I am a baker.
This is just too cool not to share. What do you think? Will you try this too?
