Look at this cute little baby diaper card that we made in my ArtCards class at the Tyler Public Library last week! Isn't it fun? It ended up being vintage on accident.
However, I do LOVE Vintage!
Don't you hate when you're stamping on whisper white cardstock and you get ink on it in the wrong place by accident? Sometimes accidents turn out to be the best! That's why a lot of my creations turn out to be vintage....lol! I sponge espresso, chocolate chip, sahara sand, river rock, crumb cake, or soft suede on the edges to get this look. Honestly, I just use the ink closest to my reach. When you use a sponge instead of direct to paper you get a much softer look.
This tag stamp is from one of our FREE sale-a-bration sets called Punch Bunch! I used our fabulous markers to color the image on the rubber before stamping. The pink used here is one of our IN COLORS called Blushing Bride. I love that with Stampin' Up! everything color coordinates and it saves you time from running around from store to store trying to match colors. Notice in the photo above the cardtock, ribbon, and markers are all Blushing Bride. Isn't that great?
What really finished off this card is our adhesive pearls and vintage trinkets (safety pin).
Check out the tiny trim too. Isn't that sweet? Guess how I did that? It's our ribbon trim border punch cut in half lengthwise. Clever, huh? I wish I could say I came up with that! LOL!

I did find that the top note die was the perfect fit for the inside of the card. I stamped one of my favorite stamps on the inside from Puns from the Past and it's a vintage baby carriage that says Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers.
This would be an adorable invitation too AND Is the back not to DIE for?! I love these ruffles!
Here's where I got my inspiration for this card:

I did simplify mine a little as I think she used a sewing machine. I used our eyelet border punch and ran it through the crimper to give it dimension and texture. Then I ruffled it up using my best tool ever...and it's priceless....and free! Do you know what it is? See below...
Thanks for looking! I hope you love my baby girl diaper card and were inspired today.

So Cute!! Love the rumba ruffle on the back. I have a question for you - how do you get to do classes at the library? I am hoping to do this but don't want to approach them until I hear from someone who is doing it and how it is feasible. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.
