Disney Characters

I know I'm sharing a lot of Disney posts but we had so many precious moments I wanted to share with you. Stampin' Up! provided the kids with a My Digital Studio autograph book.
Wasn't that a bright idea?
Paisley took every chance she could to get character autographs.
We didn't get to meet the dog from UP but we got to witness him acting crazy. He definitely was in character sniffing everything and being distracted by items in the giftshop. He was fun to watch.
Don't you love the green army man? Paisley did not want me in the photo so I had one taken of just me I didn't post! Little stinker!
We had the opportunity to dine with the princesses in the castle. Ariel is Paisley's favorite princess...can you imagine why? (hint: red hair)
Tigger.....Gotta love Tigger!
Disney is such a happy place! Thanks for sharing this experience with us!
Who is your favorite character or princess? Leave a comment!

Organizing your Stampin' Space

 Paper Organizing
I love seeing my beautiful card stock colors! They really brighten the room. Filing my cardstock away is so easy when using Stampin' Up's paper organizers. I love filing them by color hues instead of color families. See my pretty rainbow?
 Organizing your Punches
I bought these plastic square organizers in the filing section of an office store. When I returned to my studio I sat them on their side and cut out designer paper to adhere inside. This works great so I can see my collection easily. And what a great way to use my scraps to add color.
 Storing your ink pads
There is nothing better than storing your ink pads in one of Stampin' Up's carousels. Once you fill them up with ink pads it's nice to put it on a lazy susan for easier turning.
 Filing away your stamps sets
These DVD holders were a great solution for me when I began storing my clear stamp sets. Unfortunately, I can't find them anymore. They were found at IKEA. However, you can probably find another DVD holder that can serve the same purpose.
 Keeping your ribbon Tidy
I have tried many ways to store my ribbon but this was my best solution. Other ways made it hard for me to get my ribbon out. Stampin' Up's ribbon keeper makes it so handy. Actually these retired last month. So sad. Never wait to get something you want or it might be gone. :(
I hope you were inspired by my organizational ideas. This is just what works for me. I'd love to hear what works for you or how you were inspired by this post. Please leave a comment!

Scrapbook club layouts

These are the two scrapbook layouts I designed for my club last month.

The doily layout has pockets to hold memorabilia. Kinda cool.

I used our doily die, background stamp, and smaller stamps too.  Layers and textures is what I like about this layout. I used the vintage wallpaper embossing folder, gold raffia paper, velvet dsp, etc.. for texture. This Designer Paper called Mocha Morning is retiring this month.
Want to purchase it?
I used the doily die as a stencil by holding the cut out in place and sponging ink around it.

This layout is much more simple that the one above. I like to design one more elaborate and one simple layout. You might feel more drawn to one than the other. I really am starting to love the simple look but have a hard time with it. I don't know when to stop adding since I really like layers and embellishments. When you start searching the latest trends you will see that simple is in!
Have you purchased our new bird die? I added texture to the bird by running it through with the Big Shot and dotted embossing folder.

The DSP used here is from Sale-a-bration which is LONG gone. However, if you are totally in love with it and it's a MUST HAVE you can get it free with a $75+  ONLINE order between now and the end of June. Just be sure to send me an email s after your order saying you want the DSP FREE! :) And remember the new catalog starts JUNE 1st! Whoo hoo!

You can purchase items on my website. If you have any problem finding what you are shopping for please email or call me. I can help you complete your order.

Beth's Scrapbook Pages

Beth Hopkins shared these Scrapbook pages at my demonstrator meeting. I just loved the vase she made using our dies and punches. And I especially LOVE our new Summer Smooch DSP.
Isn't this layout cute too! Beth used our top note die to make a purse. She used a cute title...Purse-on-ality. Bravo to Beth@! Thanks for sharing your artwork. It's always a joy to be inspired by you.
Give Beth a shout out by leaving a comment!

Cute Card Ideas

At my Demonstrator Downline meeting this month we did a card swap.
The one above was created by Josie Kendall. You really had to see it in person to appreciate it. The top layer is vellum with embossed flowers from Flower Fest. (retiring this month) Very pretty!
Chrissy Kelly created the card with the circles above. I love the colors, esp the black to make the other colors POP!

The bird card above was one of our make and takes. Isn't it too sweet? Dola Morgan created it and brought supplies so we could all make it. She's a doll!
Beth Hopkins brought the card above to swap. I love the way she punched out the flower as a
peek-a- boo to display our pretty designer paper. Thanks for sharing "punch lady"!
Dola Morgan swapped the card above. The photo doesn't show it well but one of my favorite parts of the card is how she embossed the DSP. She sanded it so the embossing showed up and it gave it a worn look.
Susan Hazelwood created the card above. You can't tell that she is a new demonstrator, can you? She has all the elements on the card to make it complete. Way to go Susan! Love the bright colors.

You too can become a demonstrator/hobbyist for the affordable price of $99! I'd love to chat about it more with you. Feel free to contact me anytime! Did I mention you get to choose ANYTHING for your $125 and pay $99. No catch either. You don't have to sell anything! cdhdaugherty@suddenlink.net

Graduation

My son graduated from 8th grade yesterday! On to high school....whew! LOL!
Today I wanted to share some great graduation cards with you.
Alecia Connelly created the card using our owl punch. It is super cute.
This was her Disney incentive trip swap.

The card above was made by Dawn Olchefske. Isn't it unique? You can find details and a video on how to make it here.
Mary Fish has another version of the owl. Love the glasses. You can see more info here.
And I found these cute cards on Deb Valders blog. The original creation is from Jackie Topas blog. Click here to view.

Oh the places you'll go....congrats Grads!
